Other FAQ's:

Can you say more about the fee?

Each cohort of Prologue will likely have a different fee structure. The goal is to eventually create as cost-effective a model as possible, while compensating facilitators and coordination at or near market rates. The current program fee represents a considerable discount from the market cost to provide the program.

That said, another goal is that this program is accessible to mission-driven leaders regardless of their income levels. If this program speaks to you, but you actually can't afford to pay the program fee given your current circumstances, please email Brandon and we can discuss options.

Why should I do this instead of hiring an executive coach?

You may still want a coach! There is much deeper values work, personal exploration, and support that a longer-term coaching engagement can deliver. Engaging with a coach over a longer-term is one of the future pathways that some participants may pursue as a result of the work we do together. I have some really wonderful folks to recommend.

I know how to do informational interviews and update my resume, shouldn't I just do this myself?

Sure! Have you yet? What will help you make that happen?

This program is primarily intended to create space for activities that you could do independently. But isn't it more fun and effective to make that happen with others who will ask you good questions?

I am not sure I want a different job. If I do this program, does that mean I am not committed to my team or organization?

No. Those are two separate issues. If you are no longer as committed as you want to be to your org, you should be able to sort that out through this program. It is also possible to be fully committed to your team, explore your own desired directions through this program, and set them up for the greatest success in the future through a shift in your mindset or role, a thoughtful transition within the organization, or with a succession plan.

I am already doing consulting work and it is going fine. Is this program for me?

Well, that sort of depends. If things are going great and you are working with clients you love, on meaningful projects - you may just want to keep doing what you are doing. If you aren't always sure how to position yourself, or you desire greater focus, you miss being part of a team, or something else just isn't quite right, you may find this a useful step toward a new direction.

What is going to happen in the small groups?

Full transparency: This is evolving. And scheduling is a thing.

The group sessions include:
Amazing people like you, but different.
Quick pre-reads of peer profiles (a form that everyone completes)
Progress sharing and self-selected accountability measures.
Networking recommendations and resource sharing.
Fun!

Additional scheduling context:

In the pilot group, there was a set small group and a recurring standard timeframe to establish greater continuity and relationships. However, efforts to find a common meeting time were a bit arduous.

For the second cohort of participants - the cadence of small group participation was determined by the participant among fixed options (eg: pick up to 6 sessions you want to join from among these 10 set dates). The intent was to make scheduling logistics easy for all parties, and to allow folks to get to know a greater number of peers. In reality, attendance was highly variable and this model worked really great for a few, just ok for others, and not at all for some.

For the 3rd cohort - folks had the option to commit fully to a set of 3 sessions. (There were 3 "sets" available for choosing). 100% participation was expected once each participant committed and started with a group. This generally worked very well, with a couple of scheduling wrinkles that you would expect with any sort of group of adult professionals. You can expect this model with some slight variances for the next upcoming cohort.

The other option will be to set your own networking plan and self-schedule one 1:1 session with your guide to help make sure that plan is going well.
